Dale Cowan

A self-taught photographer, Dale thinks of her camera as an extension of her body.  She has managed  to minimize the gap between what she sees, and what the camera records.

“I have been taking photographs all of my life, and was first motivated when my daughters Dena and Michele were born.”

Like Monet chronicling the hay stacks, I’ve spent may years recording the minute details of life, and its changes around the bluffs, where I live – my perspective on the territory has helped to transform the familiar to art.

“My camera definitely speaks my insights for me.  I have sketched, written poetry, but taking photographs of what is around me has helped me to “see” that there is something beautiful in each day.

”I have walked thousands of miles over the years with my camera, and started my own company, “A Dale-ly Walk Card” – sold in 30 shops – mounted on gift cards.I also do portraits, and have done photo shots for commercials, advertising displays, “Every Day is a Celebration,” “Like a Book of Hours”, “The Cards are Meditative” and “Something You Can Save & Frame.”
